NextUp Care can help the healthcare system clear the backlog of postponed medical imaging services. When COVID forced hospitals to postpone outpatient services, it resulted in a significant backlog of exams that need to be rebooked. It also delayed new patients from booking their exams until after the restrictions were lifted. This backlog will be further exacerbated as we have waves of new COVID cases in the future. Managing the backlog will take months or years to resolve.

Our algorithmic approach to scheduling can be used to rapidly auto-schedule and reschedule thousands of patients without manual intervention from booking teams. Algorithmic scheduling will ensure all patients are objectively prioritized to minimize their wait time. And, the optimization algorithms will ensure optimal resource utilization and minimal downtime for critical resources. Algorithmic scheduling is a Fast & Fair approach to clear the backlog.
