Describe your company's current technology and solutions
We have specialized for many years in building standardized software and tools for Canadian Associations, that allow them to streamline their operations, interact, serve and manage members fully online. This crosses many disciplines and areas of specialization, including secure (Canadian) cloud-based infrastructure with Ecommerce, a built-in CRM, email broadcasting, event and conference management, educational programs, credentialing, databases, reporting and segmenting, web design and development, bilingual Content Management for large complex websites, single-sign-on and many more. There are several unique requirements in Canada that we have built right into our systems, including support for bilingualism, CASL, privacy, and complex tax rules across the provinces and territories. Our platforms have also supported the publication and creation of several portals that amplify the outcome for entire industries, diverse communities, and special-needs groups, e.g. Women-led businesses, small business in Canada, Indigenous businesses, and more.

Are you aware of any current government challenges or opportunities that would be addressed by using your technology solution? Or a future need you can identify?
One of the biggest challenges facing government today is consolidating resources and supports available to specific groups, either regionally or by sector. Frequently there are dozens of different government departments, service providers, contractors and consultants to support a specific region and sector - for example women entrepreneurs in a specific region or market. A web-based, SAAS platform like ours, combined with intelligent implementation and design, can consolidate those resources into a single, easy-to-use, mobile-friendly interface that can be searched using an intuitive interface including a map and other guides. This concept has been proven in a project we developed funded by Status of Women Canada called SheSource, and we are willing and able to duplicate or expand on the idea in a scalable and sustainable way.

As the COVID crisis continues, please describe specific opportunities where your technology might support Canadian needs / government needs
As the COVID crisis continues, and the long-term impact worsens not only for marginalized and vulnerable individuals and businesses - but middle-class, average ones too - Canadians are going to need efficient and timely access to information about the support that the government is able to provide, and it would be most efficiently done in an online portal that combines ALL supports - or at least as many as can be documented - in one easy-to-browse resource. We believe we have the proven technology and blueprint for implementing this kind of portal.

Do you have any final reflections or comments?
The Canadian government has been very generous in helping Canadians through the last several months of COVID-19, so that they were able to stay at home, flatten the curve, and protect the lives and health of other Canadians. As things start to open up, and as we may even have to go into a second-wave, things are going to get harder for many, as some of those supports will be reduced or stopped, and the economy needs to get started and firing on all cylinders. That is going to take a lot of moving parts, and anything that can be done to streamline and reduce the complexity of support, access to supports, and opportunities, will help, and will accelerate the recovery that has to be done. We believe full-featured web-based applications like ours are a key part of that streamlining process, and we are excited about the possibility that we can help.
