Describe your company's current technology and solutions
Cuz Translation uses the technology of a digital marketplace and online project management tool to scale efficiency in the language services industry. Having direct access to 7,000+ translators and interpreters, speaking 106 languages, provides the user with a more reliable service at a lower cost. The online based platform was designed to address shortcomings in the industry - slow turnaround times, security risks, product accuracy, and price.

After securely uploading documents to the platform, the client chooses the language pair(s) they require, the completion time, and the nature of the project. A quotation of price is instantly provided. The client is then presented with a list of qualified and appropriately experienced translators to choose from. The translator then signs a confidentiality agreement and the documents are encrypted and securely sent through the platform. The client is able to monitor progress and communicate with the translator until the project is complete. A review of the project and translator is then asked of the client to ensure the highest quality.

Are you aware of any current government challenges or opportunities that would be addressed by using your technology solution? Or a future need you can identify?
Government procures language services very inefficiently. Through a combination of an "in-house" agency and outsourcing to traditional firms, the government spends approximately 30% more than is required. That can come to tens of millions of dollars in saving every year.

As the COVID crisis continues, please describe specific opportunities where your technology might support Canadian needs / government needs
In addition to the savings that can be realized in a soon to be tight fiscal period, the Cuz Translation app does provide remote interpretation services. Through the app, users can connect with interpreters remotely through phone, or video conferencing. This ensures safe social distancing during important hearings and meeting.

Do you have any final reflections or comments?
No thanks.
